Get a Health Insurance Group Policy For Yourself

Posted on: July 25th, 2009 By: admin

There are a lot of choices for an individual to get affordable medical insurance coverage. Remember that there will be savings in numbers; There are more people in a plan, there are more savings for every member.

In some states, such as Florida you could  purchase group policy  for a one person group. Some other  states permit a two persons policy to be qualified for a group plan rate.healthinsurance7 So, if you are just a sole person  and your spouse may  help you to do bookkeeping, mailing   or filing, you can call  him(her) as one of the employees then obtain the group rate.

Another choice  for self-employed people  is from National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE). NASE provides self employed people  the option  to deduct  the 100% of their health  premiums and 100% non insured medical cost  from  federal, state and self employed taxes by  a program that is called 105 HFR.

If you are not doing a business, do not be despaired. You perhaps could  enjoy the lower premiums related to the group plan by taking part in  an organization like alumni or trade   associations. For example, being a writer, I would choose to take part in a group association that  targets to help other writers to secure their discounted health insurance.

The fitness instructor might choose to join a  health insurance program that is provided by IDEA, an organization of fitness and  health professionals. The pregnant women could  participate in the American Pregnancy Association who  offers both discount health programs(like MaternityCard  AmeriPlanand) and  government funded programs .

Since the association health plans will not be subject to all kinds of state regulations which  group health plans will be subjected to, they can  provide cheaper insurance coverage rate. However, remember  that association health plans have differences  from  group health plan  in the perspective that  the association health plans  do not have to provide the same premium for every  member.
